The ‘RSSI Acceptance Level’ configuration parameter is the minimum signal strength that will be use when the mesh network finds a new path. It may be changed, to allow Router modules to be less selective in their choice of connections. The default setting is 190 (- 95dBm), meaning that a device that is received with a lesser signal strength will not be accepted as a reliable mesh connection. By increasing the parameter value (reducing the dBm value), the module will accept an invitation to connect from a device with lesser signal strength, as long as the invitation packet is correctly received and without errors.
