The latest RIIM SDK now supports several new benefits including:
- A new Long range broadcasting mode for instant alarms across the whole mesh network – This new ground-breaking feature allows you to deliver alarms across a 200-node mesh network in less than 1 second. It is ideal for safety systems and time-critical applications.
- Extended mesh range with a 5 kbps mode (130% more distance) – Ideal for large and scattered networks where data throughput is low but range is essential.
- Extended regional support for better global compliance – RIIM now supports dedicated settings for Brazil, Korea, Taiwan, and a new High Power mode for Europe. The European high-power setting supports up to 27 dBm, enabling longer range while remaining compliant.
- Introducing TSCH leaf nodes (end nodes) for lower power operation and predictable battery life.
- Simpler development – AI friendly platform file. The SDK structure is reorganized to help AI tools better understand APIs and generate code. All platform configurations are now merged into one unified platform file where you can configure data rates (5, 50, 150 kbps), MAC types (TSCH or single-channel), and module roles (border router node, mesh router node, or leaf node) all from a single file.
