[ANT]”Is a flexible antenna (a wire) simply soldered close to the RF-Plane sufficient aa antenna – or a perpendicular soldered stiff wire with quarter wavelength over a ground plane leads to the best result?
[ANT] We are making device based on your module. We need advice regarding antenna, because we’d like to use best possible antenna. Does it make sense to use long antenna, f.e full wave antenna. What would be theoretical gain comparing to half-wave antenna?
[ANT] I would like to ask you if you have some reference design for usage of chip antenna with 868 MHz RC1181-TM.
[ANT] I have an existing 2.4GHz design. Now I want to change to an 868 MHz solution. Can I reuse the antenna?
[ANT] For the receiver we have planned to use a SMA 169 MHz antenna. We are in contact with several suppliers. From your side and your customer experience do you have recommendations regarding SMA antennas ref and/or antenna suppliers ?
[ANT] Can I make the antenna “snake-like” similar to the one on the bluetooth module ? I’m not sure yet if it fits even like this.
[ANT] “We will perform a radiaton pattern measurement in a lab (no certification, only performance measurement). For that we need unmodulated Tx on lowest and highest channel. – For the non-HP I guess we can use the: RC24xx_2405_TX_UNMOD_0xF5.hex RC24xx_2480_TX_UNMOD_0xF5.hex – Can we use this for HP as well, is the PA and LNA controlled with this FW so we get the full power? “
[ANT] “The problem is that that demo kit has a much longer range compared to the design. When we mount their homemade wire antenna onto the demo board the range is like 250 meter in-line with our needs. However on our own design it is only 50m range. Everything else work fine. Is this an issue on the PCB or an Antenna matching/design issue? “
[ANT] “If we use a SMA antenna it will increase significantly the cost of the transmitter We are looking for an embedded low cost antenna solution to be inserted in our enclosure ( coil, ceramic or any other alternative…). Do you have customer experience in this field ? What are your customers using ? Do you have any recommendations ? “
