[RC232] The evaluation it RCxxxxHPDK-USB have a config. button – does it means that when try to configure the device need to assert it LOW ? Do you have a programmable version that can be used to assert the config pin to LOW when needed ?

The RTS handshake on your host UART can be connected to CONFIG and be used to control it if UART handshake is not used.
