How does the RC1180-RC232 react as the supply voltage reduces below the minimum operating voltage and below – the system is powered by a Solar cell secondary cell to hold charge short to medium term. It is possible the secondary cell will start to discharge beyond the requirement for operation – does the module need to be unpowered to protect it from brown-out situations.

1. If the voltage drops under a certain limit, which is lower than the min operating voltage, the internal brownout will do a reset. Another way, to define this more accurately is to use a dedicated voltage supervisory circuit to control the Reset pin. Or even the main MCU may do this.
