[W-MBUS] What is the difference between MBUS3, MBUS4 and MPC1?

The MBUS3 and MBUS4 protocols act as Wireless M-Bus modems with a UART command and data interface. The MPC1 provides a pulse counter application on top of the Wireless M-Bus protocol and can therefore be used as a complete and autonomous solution for any meter that provides a pulse output.

    • [W-MBUS] it seems that collisions between slaves create sometimes bit errors and the correction in your Errata Note 4 seems to solve it. However we are surprised that because of bit errors are present in a radio frame, this frame is not rejected (wrong checksum for example) and it is still analyzed (and in this case to find a non-supported encryption mode). Why ? Is there a risk to receive a frame from the RC1180 radio module with wrong data due to collisions ? “
    • [W-MBUS] “After different test, it seems that ‘s’ command works only in ‘RX only’ mode (test 3). Is it normal? “
    • [W-MBUS] “In your mbus manual wrote (pag 4): “”In OMS (MBUS3) the master sends a command with its own address as Link Layer Address, and the slaves address as Application Layer Address.”” You mean that only long Appl header (12 byte) containing the slave address is granted ? If I got it the MUC and slaves have same link address (i.e MUC address) .. is it correct? Does your mailbox feature use this format ? “
