[GENERAL] When they do connect the board via USB cable the green led will be activated. They succeed in opening a connection via the serial port however they can’t go further. When they try to auto detect the baud rate and when they modify all connection parameters the RC1180 does not answer.

. The easies way to verify if the module us a different UART rate but is working functionally is to measure the TXD line while CONFIG goes low. This will output the ‘>’ on TXD. In addition they should mearue the current draw in Idle and after CONFIG goes low.
