[GENERAL] We are currently laying out our PCB to use your RC1180-RC232 and ask if there are any preferred methods that you could advise, to ensure we obtain immunity to 8KV ESD signals, especially when applied to the ground side of the antenna connection. The unit also connects to a standard USB computer port.

Our module has ESD protection up to 1KV according to JEDEC STD 22, method A114, Human Body Model. Additional ESD protection is out of the scope for our support team, but you should find general ESD protection guidelines by goggling the web.
