[General] “How do You recommend to locate RC1180 and antenna on the PCB ? – How antenna should come out from the metallic box – should I t be totally out of the box or can it be only partly ? – What material You recommend as a metallic box ? – Does RC1180 module need a separate metallic RF protection cover around . if yes what kind of structure / material You recommend ?”

“In general you cannot have the antenna inside a metallic box. You should have a drill hole and mounting the antenna outside the metallic box using SMA connector. PCB antennas can for this reason not be used if the board are inside a metallic box.

The RC11xx includes a metal shield and additional shielding is not needed to comply with word wide regulations.”
